Zen Chef's Knife is designed by the Japanese brand Yaxell. It is a versatile chef's knife that can be used to slice, chop and dice most ingredients. Thanks to the weight of the blade, it is perfect for cutting meat and larger root vegetables.
The knife is part of Yaxell's acclaimed Zen series, which has won several awards. All blades are made of 37 layers of steel. The core is made of VG10 steel and the other layers of a softer steel which gives an excellent edge as well as high strength and rust resistance. Thanks to the hammered surface of the knife blades with hand-stamped logo, they acquire an elegant character. The knife handle is made of black micarta, which is produced by joining linen cloth and special plastic under high pressure. This results in a hard, water-resistant and hygienic material that is perfect for a kitchen environment.
