The chef's knife from Yaxell in the Super Gou series is a versatile knife model that is suitable for most things in cooking. The weight of the blade makes it easier to handle large pieces of meat and root vegetables. Yaxell Super Gou is an exclusive series of knives with blades consisting of 161 layers of damascus steel. The core is made of Japanese powder steel SG2, known for its high carbon content and hardness, which provides an extremely sharp edge. The powder steel is surrounded by 80 layers of rust-resistant steel on each side of the edge, with a hardness of 63 HRC. The handle is made of red-black micarta, produced by joining linen cloth and special plastic under high pressure. This provides a hard, water-resistant and hygienic material, perfect for kitchen environments. The handle is attached with three strong steel rivets and has a stainless button at the end to ensure perfect balance.
