Satake Ame - Bunka is a small Japanese chef's knife/all-purpose knife with a slanted nose that provides a sharp tip for precision work. The high profile makes it ideal for both cutting and chopping. The knife has a beautiful handle of Vril from larch, peach tree, camphor and maple, and each handle is unique (see picture). The blade, which is 15 cm long, is hand-hammered from 5 layers of AUS10 steel with a hardness of 60-61 HRC. Bolster and end piece are in stainless steel.
