In 1961, Charlotte Perriand designs the small, elegant stool 523 Tabouret Méribel American Walnut for Cassina. The stool was later put into new production in 2011. The furniture's soft shapes give the stool an inviting feel. 523 Tabouret Méribel American Walnut's twisted legs characterize Perriand's design together with the solid wood from which the stool is made.
When Charlotte Perriand designed the furniture, she was inspired by simple mountain interiors and the type of stool used to milk cows. The elegant design is as relevant today as it was then and fits in a variety of environments.
