The retro-filled Pall E60 was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. Stool E60 is the original stool designed in 1933 by Alvar Aalto. The E60 stool came to represent the pinnacle of functional furniture design with its simple form and clean lines. The idea behind the iconic stools is based on four slightly curved legs that are assembled with a round seat. The secret lies in the unique curvature of the legs, which later became a distinctive characteristic of all of Alvar Aalto's furniture.

Stool E60 is made entirely of birch and is a very functional stool that can be used as a side table, relief table, extra seating space and of course as a regular stool. Simply an all-in-one stool with excellent design and shape. The E60 stool is available in a multitude of options and the most classic is entirely in birch. Over the years, several designs have been produced, including a seat in black linoleum and one in white laminate, as well as a fully lacquered seat in several different colors and a variant with an upholstered seat.
