Akari 15A is a pendant lamp from Vitra designed by Japanese-American sculptor, architect and designer Isamu Noguchi in 1951. Akari is a series of light fixtures designed by Noguchi and handmade in shoji paper by Japanese artisans. Noguchi's work is artistically linked to abstract expressionism and his style came to have a major influence on 1950s design. All light sculptures in the Akari series are marked with a logo representing the sun and the moon, which confirms the authenticity of each product.
