The German brand Zwilling was founded in 1731 by Peter Henckels and is today one of the world's oldest and largest manufacturers of kitchen knives. With over 280 years of experience, Zwilling's products have become a classic, both in the home and in restaurant kitchens. The brand opened its first shop in 1818 in Berlin. A few years later they reach across the Atlantic and to New York where another store opens. In 1851, Zwilling exhibits its knives at an exhibition in Crystal Palace in Great Britain, where it is awarded an international knife medal. In the following years, Zwilling continues to win prizes and awards and becomes a court supplier of knives to the Imperial and Royal Court of Austria-Hungary.
Knives forged from one piece of steel
A large selection of Zwilling knives are forged from a single piece of high carbon stainless steel, which is cold-hardened to improve resistance to staining. The hardening process involves immersing the finished knife blades in liquid nitrogen. This process is required to obtain full hardness from most stainless knife steels. The result is well-balanced knives with excellent sharpness. Most of Zwilling's knives are manufactured in Solingen, Germany, but production also takes place in Spain and China.
Since 2008, the brand also offers kitchen appliances such as coffee machines and toasters. At NO-GA you will find the brand's knives as well as a curated range of kitchen appliances.
