The Fan Black Table was designed in 2012 by Tom Dixon for his own brand of the same name. Fan Black Table has a base made of solid black birch. The table top is available in a range of finishes in marble, birch or oak and has a diameter of 90 cm. The inspiration for the Fan Table comes from a British design classic, the Windsor chair, but now in a more modern version. The manufacturing process uses methods that demand precision as the wooden pegs are carefully twisted, thinned and bent to create a silhouette that is reminiscent of a pony tail, sea anemones and antique corsets. To create a natural finish, the wood is then treated.
