Willo Perron for NO GA: A Modular Vision

Renowned designer and creative force Willo Perron unveils his new collection for NO GA. Inspired by the idea of flexibility, the tables and mirrors in the collection are designed to scale and evolve with the needs of user.

“I’ve always loved the idea of modularity,” Willo Perron shares when we meet in his Paris apartment. “It’s not about committing to a huge system upfront—it’s about starting with one item that feels right and letting it evolve with your life. I also love the idea of a piece of furniture growing with someone over time.”

Willo Perron, a Montreal-born creative force, has shaped the cultural zeitgeist for over two decades. After founding Willo Perron and Associates in California, he revolutionized artist creative direction, designing iconic shows and world tours for artists such as Beyoncé,

Rihanna, and Drake. His multidisciplinary expertise extends to fashion shows for Alexander Wang and Chanel, Grammy-winning album designs, and even retail spaces for brands like Skims and Stüssy.

In many ways, his studio's work is strongly influenced by the Bauhaus thinking, approaching each project from an art perspective, where all disciplines are involved in creating the final product, from industrial design to marketing.

Perrons most recent endeavour is furniture design - a long time dream of his - naturally evolving from the retail, office and home interiors his studio has accomplished throughout the years.

“Most of my designs start from identifying something that’s missing—either in a project or in my own life,” Perron explains. “For instance, I’ve always found coffee tables problematic. If you change your couch or have a modular setup, a standard coffee table often becomes obsolete.”

Perrons first sofa launched last year for the German manufacturer Knoll, aptly named Pillo after its inspiration from pillows loosely piled on top of each other. Now he launch a new collection of modular tables and mirrors for No-Ga. “The idea behind the collection came from wanting something modular that could adapt as you move or reconfigure your space,” explains Perron.

The collection features a series of tables and mirrors designed to be combined in various configurations. Each piece is crafted from cast glass fiber, meticulously coated and polished by hand in high-gloss finishes. The mirrors, named Porthole, draw inspiration from buildings with molded cement panels that resemble portals. “I’ve always been fascinated by those high-rises—many of which are from the 60s or 70s—and the way their forms repeat in a modular way. The mirror is designed as a single, standalone piece, but it’s also scalable,” Perron explains.

Perron use the mirrors in his interiors for the We are Ona pop-up restaurant at MATTER and SHAPE this March, an atelier fair taking place during Paris fashion week every spring. As eager he is to embrace new forms of expressions and typologies, he is also keen to broaden the interest in design, and reach new audiences.

“We have no idea what the world will look like in 20 years, and clinging to the idea that things will stay the same only makes it harder to cope with change,” says Perron.
