Lumina
Lumina was founded in 1980 by designer Tomasso Cimini. He designed his first lamp, Daphine, in 1975. Five years later, Daphine became the foundation of this exclusive Italian lighting company. The lamp is now iconic and can be found in some of the world’s most prominent museums of modern art, galleries and libraries.
The Brooklyn Museum in New York, Le Musée d’Arts Decoratifs in Paris and Die Neue Sammlung in Munich have all been illuminated with Lumina’s decorative designs. Lumina’s vision of “much light, little lamp” is evident in the minimalist design and innovative technology of the products. Lumina’s range includes floor lamps, wall lamps, ceiling lamps and table lamps—all with their own modern twist and innovative technology. Lumina lighting is manufactured in Arluno, outside Milan in Italy.
Exclusive Italian lighting with innovative technology
Lumina has collaborated with several famous designers over the years. Yacoov Kaufmann, Foster + Partner and Emanuele Ricci are just some of the designers whose designs can be found in the Lumina range. Together with its partners, the brand designs various projects in different public environments. Here in Sweden, the Flo 20 table lamp can be found at the Royal Library in Stockholm, and at Malmö University the Flo Grommet model is installed on desks. Lumina are proud of combining handmade tradition with the latest technology. Today, Tomasso Cimini’s sisters, Andrea and Ettore, run Lumina along the same lines as their father, developing innovative, exclusive, and beautiful lighting. At NO-GA you can find a wide range of Lumina luminaires.
