The timeless Ingrid Andersson carpet was designed by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg for Swedish Kasthall. For the 125th anniversary in 2014, Kasthall developed Randiga Ingrid with inspiration from the rag rug that has been on Swedish floors since the mid-19th century. Used textiles from clothing and the household were cut into long strips, which were then woven into striped rugs in many colors. In the 1960s and 70s, the cottage industry wove rag rugs with clearer patterns and shapes. Striped Ingrid combines Swedish weaving traditions with a modern expression and is suitable for both city and country settings.
The Ingrid rug is a woven rug made from 100% wool, making it a durable rug made to be used. With its beautiful texture and muted color tones, the rug is easily placed in many rooms, from private homes to public settings.
Measurements may vary up to 5% because of the crafting processes the rug undergoes and the fact that the rug is made of natural materials.
