The playful carpet Ines was designed by Maja Johansson in 2017 for Swedish Kasthall. Ines is hand tufted with volume from coarse wool yarn and linen, with a contrasting low bouclé finish, and is sister to Kasthall's iconic Moss rattan rug. The design is timeless, elegant, and eccentric. Born out of experiments with paper folding and collage techniques, with hard shapes and lines meeting volume, straight shapes punctuated with contrasting materials and surfaces that break up. Here, designer Maja Johansson has created stripes with shadows and volume in the colors Moon, Ghost, Jungle and Sapphire.
The Ines carpet is a hand tufted carpet and as a result, variations in measurements of up to 5% may occur, because of the craftsmanship processes the carpet undergoes and the fact that the carpet is made of natural materials.
