The Grand Prix Office Chair Special Edition is designed by Arne Jacobsen, one of Denmark's most famous designers and architects, for the Fritz Hansen brand. The desk chair is created with an upholstered seat in leather and a chrome-plated adjustable base on wheels. It has a graphic design language and is therefore an elegant addition to every office. The Grand Prix Office Chair Special Edition is sold exclusively at selected retailers.
In 1957, the Grand Prix dining chair was presented at the "Designers' Spring Exhibition" at the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen. In the same year, it was then shown at the Triennale in Milan, where the chair received the finest award - the Grand Prix. It has since gone under the same name and been launched in several different designs.
