Lilla Åland Karmstol Kulör is designed by Carl Malmsten for the Swedish goods brand Stolab. The chair is made of either solid oak or beech wood and is available in a wide range of colors. The simple yet refined design of the Little Country Armchair Kulör makes it fit nicely into most interior styles and environments. It is also beautiful to combine with the Lilla Åland Pinnstol.
The Lilla Åland Karmstol is a successor to the classic Lilla Åland Pinnstol. The inspiration comes from Finströms Church in Åland, where Carl Malmsten held a class in 1938. From the carpenter's hand-painted chair, he produced his own wheel, which was then adapted for production at Stolfabriks AB in Smålandsstenar, as Stolab was then known. In 1942, Lilla Åland was given the same design as it still has today.
