1000 Karat Blau is a ceiling lamp designed in 2016 by designer Axel Schmid for Ingo Maurer. The lamp consists of gold plates handmade in Japan with a unique process where the thin gold plates are cast in acrylic. The gold disks allow light to be reflected in a beautiful way repeatedly. 1000 Karat Blau is the largest and most impressive lamp in the collection.
