Uchiwa Quilted is an armchair designed by the design duo Doshi Levien for the Danish brand Hay. The armchair is easy to customize according to your needs and wishes and has separate upholstery on the front and back. The back comes in fabric or leather upholstery, while the front always consists of fabric. The legs come in natural or stained oak. The design duo Doshi Levien consists of Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien who have a design studio in London and have created designs for several well-known brands. The inspiration behind the Uchiwa furniture series comes from a traditional Japanese hand fan, among other things. Uchiwa comes in two different designs, Uchiwa Quilted and Uchiwa. The first is adapted and designed more for a home environment where you want to curl up in the armchair. There is an accompanying footstool, the Uchiwa Ottoman, which you can buy separately to rest your feet on.
