The ceiling lamp has a frame of steel and aluminum with a finish in either gold or silver. In The Sun 270 Pendant has a glass dome and a screen consisting of a stainless steel or brass mesh that contributes to a truly unique lighting experience.

When the Pavillion Dufour at the world-famous Palace of Versailles was to be renovated, designers Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost wanted to create a series of lamps as an homage to Louis XIV, also known as the Sun King. All lamps are characterized by festive shades in gold and silver, which all contribute a very special, almost magical, atmosphere to the home. In addition to the In The Sun 270 Pendant, the series also consists of pendant lamps in two other sizes, table lamps and wall lamps.
