Satake chef knives

Since the time of the samurai, the sharpest knives have come from Japan. Satake builds on the Japanese tradition of damascus swords and damascus knives. The Damascus steel is forged in the same way as a samurai sword, layer by layer, and hammered out 62 times to give the blade its characteristic pattern. In 1994, Satake started production for the Nordic market at the Satake Cutlery factory in Seki City, Japan, with the two knife series Novac Series and Houcho Series, which are still in the range.

Today, Satake offers a wide range of knives and kitchen utensils designed with Japanese tradition and adapted for Nordic kitchens. The range includes kitchen knives, wet stones/grinding stones, frying pans, cast iron pots, saucepans, thermometers, chopping boards, table grills, knife strips, knife blocks, teapots, scissors, whetstones and shredders.

Satake Ame is a series of knives that combine power, balance and tradition. The name Ame means rain in Japanese, and the blade's “Rain Pattern” is designed to prevent raw materials like potatoes from sticking to the blade.

Satake Kaizen is an exclusive knife series from Seki City, Japan, known as the capital of knives. The name Kaizen means continuous improvement, and this series represents a new addition to Satake's range that is of the highest quality.

The latest addition is the Satake Outdoor range, which takes outdoor cooking to new levels with products such as tri-pods, griddles, smashburger presses, storm lighters, dutch ovens, wilderness axes and knives.
