Saarinen Tulip Stool was designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1957. The Tulip stool has an elegant design, consisting of a pillar-shaped base in die-cast aluminum and a round upholstered seat. The base is rotatable and available in white or black. The seat is fully inclusive and available in a choice of fabrics and colors.
The Saarinen Tulip Stool can easily be combined with the Tulip Table and Tulip Chair from the same series by Knoll. Tulip has won several awards, such as the Design Career Stuttgart Award in Germany in 1962, the Federal Award for Industrial Design in Germany in 1969 and The Museum of Modern Art Award in New York in 1969.
