The Wassily Lounge Chair from the Knoll brand was designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer. Just like Breuer's Laccio Table, the Wassily Lounge Chair is also one of the great design icons of the 20th century and together they form a stylish lounge group. The chair has a frame made of bent steel tubes with a chromed, polished surface. Seat and backrest are available in several variants, both with natural colored canvas or three different colors of cowhide to choose from.

Marcel Breuer began experimenting with bent steel tubes at the age of 23 while an apprentice at the Bauhaus. He had just bought his first bike and was fascinated by the bike's optimal design, with a frame of bent steel tubes that had barely changed in decades. Taking inspiration from the frame of the bicycle along with influences from the De Stilj movement, Breuer came up with the idea of a chair with an exposed steel frame without joints.

After almost a month, I still haven't received my chair. Part of the responsibility also lies with PostNord, but I am unhappy that it takes so long to receive the ordered and paid for item - especially in that price range.
