The Platner Lounge Chair was designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1962. The gold-plated version was introduced in 2015 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Platner collection. The chair is made of welded steel rods, which generate a marble effect unique to the Platner Chair. The supports are gold-plated in 18-carat gold and covered with a transparent protective lacquer coating. The lounge chair has a rounded shell made of molded fiberglass and foam. The chair is available in a variety of colors, in velvet or other.
Platner Lounge Chair is a comfortable chair with a soft, elegant impression. It can easily be complemented by a matching table from the same series by Knoll. The Platner collection also includes a chair, table, stool, dining table and coffee table.
