Womb Chair from The Saarinen Collection was designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1946. The chair has round, soft shapes, and high seating comfort with soft down-filled cushions. The shell is made of molded polyurethane foam with a metal structure and comes in a choice of fabrics and colors. The base is made of steel and is available in polished or black matte finished chrome. A complementary footstool in matching shape is available as an option for maximum comfort. Eero Saarinen designed the Womb Chair based on Florence Knoll's vision of a chair that would be like a basket full of cushions - a soft, calm oasis.
