Chair 300 Smoked Oak is a dining chair designed in 1965 by one of the greatest Italian designers of the 20th century, Joe Colombo. This chair is currently in production by Danish Karakter and is a fine example of Colombo's ability to create functional design with sophisticated shapes. The softly shaped seat and backrest are upholstered in fabric or leather and are elegantly housed in a frame of solid oak. The double horizontal slats that support the seat of the chair are visible in profile and contribute to the character of the chair. If you prefer a different finish for the frame of the chair, Chair 300 is also available in black stained and solid oak.
Although more than half a century has passed since Chair 300 was first introduced, it remains just as relevant today. Making furniture feel relevant, well designed, and beautiful is one criterion that Karakter relies on for the products it puts into production.
