W01 Doge Marble was designed in 1968 by the Italian designer and architect Carlo Scarpa. The table went into production in 2013 when Doge became part of Cassina's Simon Collection catalog. The table is a prime example of Scarpa's love of detail and love of beautiful shapes and materials.
W01 Doge Marble has a frame in either steel or aluminum. The frame is held together by polished screws. On the frame rests a table top that can be chosen in either white Carrara or black Marquina marble. To avoid wear and tear, the underside of the frame is fitted with a rubber floor protector.
The sleek and attractive design makes the table suitable for many different environments. It can easily be used both as a dining room and office furniture. The design of the frame creates eye-catching lines and shadows. The classic style of the table allows it to be combined with both modern and antique pieces.
