The CH44 Lounge Chair is a solid oak armchair designed in 1965 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. The chair is part of a smaller collection that also includes a footstool, chair, and armchair. All of them are characterized by incredible simplicity and robust materials in a cohesive design language. The matching ottoman, CH53, in the low version, is also an excellent complement to combine with the CH44 Lounge Chair for additional comfort.

This particular model of CH44 comes with a natural-colored seat made of waxed, woven paper cord. The seat features a "envelope weave" - a beautiful detail also found in several other works by Hans J. Wegner, such as CH22, CH24, and CH26. The frame of solid oak is available in several different finishes.
