The CH22 is an armchair designed by Hans J. Wegner for the brand Carl Hansen & Søn. The armchair features a frame of solid walnut, a backrest of walnut veneer, and a seat of waxed and natural-colored paper cord. The seat also bears a classic envelope weave, similar to many of the designer's other works for the brand. The CH22 armchair was designed in 1949 and went into production the following year as part of Wegner's debut collection. After being out of production for several decades, it was reintroduced in 2016. Today, the chair is one of the designer's most well-known and sought-after pieces.
