Pipe is a combined ceiling and wall lamp. The unique shape has been designed by Herzog de Meuron for Artemide. The Pipe has a flexible straight arm covered with natural platinum silicone. The arm is fitted with a transparent polycarbonate diffuser with a rubber coating. The arm has a fixed part and an adjustable base that allows it to be easily directed where the light is needed. The pipe has an internal reflector made of mirror-finish aluminum with randomly shaped holes of varying sizes that make it look as if it is decorated with light points. The built-in LED lamp contributes to lower power consumption and better light quality.
Pipe emits a diffuse and direct light and the simple, yet whimsical design makes it equally suitable for use alone or in combination with others. The same series also includes a floor lamp and a pendant light.
