Empatia is a pendant lamp designed in 2013 by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello for the Italian brand Artemide. The lamp is stylish with an artistic expression and it is manufactured in aluminium, methacrylate and blown glass. The blown glass dome encloses the light source, which consists of an LED light that shines out through a transparent tube. The designer has worked with the opacity of the glass, where clear glass at the innermost part of the cup smoothly transitions to less transparent further out, which creates a pleasant, soft light that is also dimmable. The lamp is available in three sizes and the hanging height is adjustable. Light source included.
The Empatia collection also includes a table lamp, floor lamp and a ceiling and wall lamp.
