The elegant A910 wall lamp was designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1990s for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. The A910 is based on the timeless "Angel Wings" luminaire, which is a timeless icon in functionalist furniture design. The lamps are characterized by a beautiful and very distinctive expression. The lamp was originally designed for French artist Louis Carre's living room, but its stylish design and exciting light distribution make it a design piece to be reckoned with even today. When Alvar Aalto was a child, he was constantly enchanted by filtered and subdued light, which he later explained "like the light streaming in through grandmother's lace curtains on a hot summer's day". This resulted in his lighting design getting the same feeling in the form of the light, which is no exception for the beautiful and eye-catching Angel Wing lamps.
