Pastille w182 is a wall lamp from the Pastille series consisting of floor lamps, table lamps and wall lamps from Swedish Wästberg. The London-based designers who created the simplistic Pastille lamp, Kim Colin & Sam Hecht, has a philosophy of sustainable, simple and functional design where the goal is to create objects that are both relevant and long-lived that relate to the environments they are used in. Pastille w182 is an excellent such example. It is made of solid fiberglass-reinforced bio-polyamide, where over 60% of the material used in manufacturing is biologically traceable and reusable.
Pastille w182 and its materials are lightweight where the design is minimalistic and functional. In the round lamp head is an LED light source called CoB, which stands for Chip on Board, where there are small LEDs in a cluster. It is dimmable and the light is turned on by pressing a very subtle button located at the top of the thin fixture. The lamp head can be angled 360 degrees for the desired direction of light and can also be turned sideways. Pastille w182 is available in four different colors and comes with a 2 meter black cord. It is also available with a shorter arm.
