This modern interpretation of the classic blue fluted pattern features selected details that have been accentuated and hand-painted to preserve the original blue effect. The pattern was created by Karen Kjældgård-Larsen in 2000 and marked a new era for Royal Copenhagen. The Blue Fluted Mega series includes eight different patterns, and the number on the back of the product indicates which pattern the specific plate has.
