In 1977, Oluce launched the Atollo White lamp, designed by the world-famous designer Vico Magistretti. Now considered a design classic, the lamp's design is as simple as it is ingenious, consisting of three geometric shapes: the cylinder, the cone and the hemisphere. Atollo White is made of white lacquered metal. This particular version of the Atollo comes only in the largest size, 233. Thanks to its generous size, Atollo White can be used as either a floor lamp or a table lamp. The lamp is equipped with a universal dimmer that makes it easy and convenient to adjust the brightness. In addition to this version in white lacquered metal, Atollo Opal, Atollo Black, Atollo Satin Bronze and Atollo Gold are also available.
Since Atollo White was launched, it has become a much-loved classic and revolutionized the way we look at the classic table and floor lamp. in 1979 Atollo was awarded the prestigious Compasso dOro prize. Since its launch, it has become part of the permanent collections of several renowned museums, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
