Paulistano, designed by Paulo Mendes da Rocha in 1957 for the Objekto brand, was part of the living room of the São Paulo Athletic Club for many years. Its constructivist structure, consisting of a single bent steel bar, together with a leather or cotton cover, gives the armchair an aesthetic lightness and unparalleled comfort. The armchair shows that the purity and elegance of its lines are timeless: a masterpiece. The armchair is also part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA).
