Puff Table Lamp Twist is part of a series of lamps made of rice paper, designed by Saskia Huebner for Normann Copenhagen. This collection is a modern interpretation of the ancient tradition of lamp making in Asia, where rice lampshades have been used for centuries. The table lamp consists of a lampshade in rice paper and a base in powder-coated steel, with soft EVA foam underneath to protect the surface. The rice paper enables the creation of large volume without excessive use of material or heavy and unwieldy design. At the same time, the material provides natural and warm lighting by softly filtering the light from the light source, which prevents it from being too bright or overexposed.
