The Star armchair was created by Swedish furniture designer Mats Theselius in 2009 and is produced by Källemo. Star has a base made of chromed steel and the seat and back are upholstered with cold cured foam. Upholstery is available in a variety of fabrics, alternatively with Elmosoft leather or Tisnsjö leather in a choice of colors. The armchair has a higher back support and a seat height of 44 cm, making Star suitable for the private office, hallway, or wherever you simply want an extra seat.

Consistent throughout Mats' various products are the clear influences of his interests in the design and choice of materials. Star is an example of his fascination with music, and more specifically drums. The construction of the legs and the design of the armchair itself draw similarities to a drum kit. Star is also available in a limited edition, Star Limited Edition, which instead of a leather-covered back as the original has, is coated with mother-of-pearl.
