Petit Standard Chair is a chair from the Danish brand HAY designed by Daniel Rybakken. The chair consists of a back and seat in molded plywood with an inner veneer of beech wood, and top and bottom of oak veneer. The base is made of steel that has been powder coated. It is stackable with up to 12 chairs, which gives a gap of only 6 mm between each chair. This means that the chair fits into environments with a lot of people but also compact spaces such as cafes and restaurants. The chair is characterized by its seamless appearance of the steel frame and the triangle formed by the back legs and backrest. Thanks to the triangle, the chair gets both strength and lightness in one, which are important features of a stackable chair. All links are made of cast aluminum that has been hammered and glued together with the steel, this way there are no visible welds, giving the chair an elegant silhouette without disturbing the fluidity of the line. The chair comes with standard feet but can also be purchased with felt feet.
