The Sangaku Coffee Table was designed by Elena Salmistraro for the Italian brand Driade. Sangaku is a Japanese game of geometric problems, often involving circles and ellipses. The game is usually played on wooden boards in the courtyard and is commonly played at Buddhist temples and other places. As the name suggests, Salmistraro drew inspiration from the geometric problems when designing the coffee table.
Sangaku Coffee Table has a steel frame with four round table tops, two with a diameter of 40 cm in glass and two with a diameter of 20 cm in steel. The table tops are arranged in a row at different heights, creating a practical as well as aesthetically pleasing table. The coffee table as a whole has a diameter of about 50 cm. The Sangaku Coffee Table is available in four attractive finishes.
