Tribù Mata Undyed Rug is part of the Tribù collection designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for cc-tapis. The rug is made by hand in cc-tapis studio in Kathmandu made of a cotton fabric, mixed with wool from the Himalayas, silk, and metal fibers coming from areas near the studio. Measuring 230 x 300 cm, the carpet comprises three different blocks distinguished by contrasting lines with a tribal-inspired pattern.
Tribù Mata Undyed Rug is a tribute to a memory of travel and the emotions that evokes. It conjures a vision of a travel journal filled with the colors, landscapes, and timeless memories that 19th century travelers painted with watercolors and described in their diaries.
