14.9 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2005. The lamp has nine pendants hanging in a row; the height is adjustable to a maximum of 300 cm. The lamp consists of two molded borosilicate glass halves joined together, the cylindrical void that runs through the two halves containing the lightbulb of the lamp. You can choose between a dimmable Xenon bulb or a non-dimmable LED version. Each sphere measures approximately 10.2 cm in diameter. The production is done by hand, making each specimen is unique in proportion, size, and shape. 14.7 is held by flexible metal cables from a rectangular ceiling fixture.
14 is the first series to be launched by Bocci and consists of a collection of ceiling lamps with varying numbers of pendants in different configurations and a surface mounted lamp. With its many unique glass globes, Bocci's lighting design is as much a decorative installation as it is lighting. With the adjustable height, the pendant 14 can be adapted to hang over a dining table or in a larger space as a complete lighting installation.
