Coat Rack 160 is interior designer Anna-Maija Jaatinen's most famous piece of furniture. In 1964, she designed this coat rack for Artek, the interior design company founded by Alvar Aalto and others. This piece of furniture has maintained its popularity for over 50 years, and it is easy to see why. Coat Rack has a lacquered birch frame and a base with three metal legs. It is available in four finishes: black, white, natural with black base and natural with white base.
The meeting of design and function is typical of Artek furniture, and the Coat Rack 160 is no exception. It contributes to the home whether in use or not. When empty, it becomes a work of art with a natural feel. When in use, it can store many outer garments, thanks to the difference in spike length.
