Plywood Group LCW is a chair designed by design duo Charles Ray Eames for Swiss brand Vitra. LCW is short for Lounge Chair Wood and is one of the elegant chairs in the Plywood Group range. LCW is a comfortable and useful chair that fits in most homes and interiors. The chair is available in a variety of finishes. The Lounge Chair Wood has a sister in the same range called the Lounge Chair Metal which looks similar but has metal legs.
Charles Ray Eames spent several years experimenting to create perfect seating comfort in a plywood chair, and in 1945/46 the result was The Plywood Group.
