Akari BB3-33S is a floor lamp handcrafted in wood and shoji paper with a bamboo shade and a base of black cast iron. Noguchi's work is artistically linked to abstract expressionism, and his design style was to have a major influence on 1950s design.The Akari range of lights was created by Noguchi with inspiration drawn from traditional Japanese design. The range consists of more than 100 luminaires in total and includes floor, table, and ceiling lamps. All Noguchi light sculptures are made of shoji paper made from the bark of a mulberry tree.
