Making ravioli can be quite messy, but this one will get you pretty close to success if you follow the instructions on YouTube. The price of the NG is the cheapest I've found, and the device is a completely original and high-quality accessory made by Marcato. However, note the following things that are not mentioned on the product page: 1) The opening of the ravioli maker's crank is from an older model, i.e. 8 mm in diameter and about 20 mm deep. The crank of the newer model Marcato (around 2013->, e.g. Marcato Atlas Design) is 7 mm in diameter, and the length of the crank head is about 35 mm. The head of the newer crank is therefore about 15 mm longer than the old model, and does not go deep enough into the hole of the ravioli maker. Even if you saw off the extra 15 mm from the end of the new crank, the crank is too thin and does not fit well. If you have a newer model pasta machine, you will have to get an older model crank for the ravioli maker from somewhere. 2) The Ravioli attachment does not have a mount for the Marcato PastaDrive motor, and even if it did, the PastaDrive shaft diameter is currently 7 mm, which is too thin.
