The Lab Light Table is a table lamp from Karakter, designed by the South African design agency Anatomy Design in 2010. In this version, the table lamp has a porcelain base, a black lacquered steel frame and a brass shade. The different materials contribute with interesting contrasts and give the Lab Light Table an elegant expression. In addition to this table lamp, the series also includes a floor lamp with a similar design language and designs entirely made of black lacquered metal.

When Andrea Kleinloog from Anatomy Design created the Lab Light Table and the other lamps in the series, she was inspired by her parents' pharmaceutical profession and their old laboratory equipment. It is therefore no coincidence that materials such as porcelain, steel and brass were used to produce the lamps, materials that are often seen in classic pharmacy and hospital contexts.
