Butterfly Table was designed by Finn Juhl in 1949 and launched the same year at the Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen alongside the iconic Chieftain Chair, Chieftain Sofa, and Egyptian Chair. The highly exclusive table was developed in collaboration with master carver Niels Vodder and has a look that is very typical of Finn Juhl's design with its three legs and organic shape. The Butterfly Table is proof that Finn Juhl's designs stand the test of time thanks to the fine details and good craftsmanship. The unconventional table is now made of walnut and decorated with a circular mosaic inlay. At the time the table was launched, the Butterfly Table was practically never produced. But since 2015, House of Finn Juhl has relaunched the table, which is now on display at Nordiska Galleriet.
