Uau is a minimalist design table lamp from Catellani Smith, tastefully created by Enzo Catellani in the same series as the popular Wa Wa. Uau is constructed from a neat, curved metal structure in nickel-plated copper and steel. A small round glass lens at the end of the arm hides the LED lightbulb and provides an effective spread of light in the room. The glass lens is removable and can therefore be replaced if necessary. The lighting can be adjusted with an integrated dimmer. Comes with blue power cable. The Uau table lamp is handmade in Italy, just outside Bergamo on the River Serio.
The Wa Wa series was introduced at the Frankfurt Trade Fair, where it also got its name. Enzo Catellani saw a lady pointing at the lamp while saying "Wa Wa" repeatedly. He walked up to her and curiously asked what she meant. She told him that wa means perfect in Japanese and the lamp was named after her.
