The CH44 is a classic wooden chair from the Danish manufacturer Carl Hansen & Søn, designed in 1965. The design is by the renowned designer Hans J. Wegner, and in this particular model, he has truly pushed simplicity to its extreme. He had a great fascination for the American Shaker movement, which is clearly evident in both simplicity, solid craftsmanship, and meticulous details.
