Bong Table Volcanic Lava is a table created by Giulio Cappellini for Italian Cappellini in 2015. The table, part of the Bong series, has a spherical shape made of fiberglass. The Bong Table Volcanic Lava comes as a new version of the previous Bong series with a newly developed finish. The surface is designed with a pattern of lava rock and is made with a manual decoration technique with three layers of lava powder. The powder highlights the natural colors and gives rise to the actual surface of the stone.
The table has a height of 40 cm and a diameter of 48 cm. The round and static feel of the marble block together with the lacquered surface of the lava stone creates a light side table with a modern look. The Bong Table Volcanic Lava is easy to place in different environments and the shape makes the table adaptable for multiple uses. It can be used as a coffee table in the living room, as a side table at a smaller seating area or as an interior accessory in the living room.
