Arkus Bicycle Bollard is designed by Mårten Cyrén for the brand Byarums Bruk. The designer first made a sketch of a vault, an arch shape, and thought that in the right size, you can place the front wheel or the rear wheel in the vault and lock it as needed. Two bicycles can be attached to the same arch, but then placed on the outside of the arch. According to Cyrén, the design is like a figure that is subordinate to the architecture and that allows repetition in the urban space. The bicycle bollard is made of aluminium.
