Empatia is a table lamp from the Empatia collection, designed in 2013 by Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello for Artemide. The lamp is made of aluminum, methacrylate and blown glass and is available in three sizes. The modern design has an artistic expression through the blown glass dome that encloses the lightbulb consisting of an LED light in a transparent tube. Carlotta de Bevilacqua and Paola di Arianello have worked with the opacity of the glass when designing the lamp, so that the clear glass at the inside of the dome gently transitions into less transparent further out. This creates a pleasant, soft light that can be adjusted using the dimming function.
A lightbulb is included for Empatia, and the same collection also includes a floor lamp, pendant light and as a ceiling and wall lamp with the same look as the table lamp. Can be combined to create an overall look in a room.
